This is a call for abstracts for the March 13, 2004, annual meeting of the ISOST, to be held in conjunction with the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgery meeting in San Francisco. We are soliciting papers on any topic related to the use of the Internet in orthopedics. We are particularly interested in reports from countries outside the US related to how the Internet is being used in your country. DEADLINE: November 1, 2003. Authors will be notified by December 1, 2003, to allow for time to arrange for meeting attendance. Letters of invitation can be sent on request for those who need them or would like to secure funding from their university, government, etc. No funding is available from ISOST, as we are a volunteer organization and do not charge dues. Abstracts will be accepted for either a 12 min oral presentation (computer and LDC projector will be available) or for poster presentation; authors can indicate which modality they prefer but the Review Committee will decide if it will be a poster or podium presentation.Abstract should be 400 words or less and submitted to me by email @ . It would be an advantage to include hyperlinks if the paper is referring to any website. The subject line should start with the words "ISOST Abstract". Indicate whether you prefer podium or poster presentation; final decision will be up to the Review Committee. The annual meeting will be held from 3pm to 9 pm, so as to minimally interfere with attendance at any Specialty Day meeting. A morning tour of San Francisco is being planned, to be led by David Nelson, who lives in San Francisco and will be showing you some of the natural and cultural jewels that are not normally seen by tourists. Please plan on attending this meeting.David Nelson, MDBoard of Directors, ISOST
