Strictly speaking this section should be entitled Using the PubMed Portal to search Medline for citations to the orthopaedic literature. This because
Christian Veillette has contributed a
tutorial on using the Canadian Medical Association's Osler
OVID interface with Medline if you would prefer to use that.
Alternatively, if you would prefer a more exploratory approach to using PubMed the other workshop does that.
This workshop assumes that you have a specific need to look up the literature and would like straghtforward instruction on how to accomplish the task. It means that we have to make assumptions about the type of search you need.
Step 1 Open the PubMed site in a new window (clicking on the link will do that for you). Then come back to this page. For the rest of this workshop instructions will be in green
Step 2 Define the type of search you need to do
In this workshop escape links back to the searching or workshops home pages are in the navigation bar to the left. A link to the home page is in the banner.
