Objectives
The
second part is to explore what is currently available.
Here
are two of my websites, free from WebMD and Medscape. (You
will learn more about this in the next section.)
Check them
out to see how you can make a first-order website:

These
are the websites of some of the authors of this Guide. This
gives you an idea of what you can do with a more sophisticated
site:
Mel Heiman
Charles
Eaton, MD
Myles
Clough, MD, DPhil
Here
are some arbitrarily selected physician websites:
(to
be added; if you have a website, please let me know.
These
sites should give you an idea of what is possible, so start
your design from here. Sketch it out on paper. Be sure to
plan well, especially with navigation and links. There are
essentially two ways to do a site: once right, or many times
over and over again until you do it right. It is much easier
to plan well from the start. Ask me how I know.
Do
you have a physician website? Let me know about it and it
may help me to make this chapter better.
Also, please send
your comments about this chapter of the Orthopedist's
Guide to the Internet to David
Nelson. Thank you.
